Yep, the Governor of Texas. You know, The Texas where people fought for their independence from Mexico. The Texas of Sam Houston and the Alamo. Sadly, the Texas of strong men and women who knew how to take a stand is now governed by a slack-jawed, ankle grabbing weasel.

I'd just read something within the last week or so about the number of ILLEGALS that drive in California without a license or insurance. Have a wreck? No problemo!! Just haul ass across the border. Anyway, even though this doesn't specifically target illegals it may have a positive effect and act as a further incentive for them to get out of Dodge, or Sacramento, whichever the case may be. I haven't heard anyone screaming, "Racist" yet, but just give it a little while.

GOOD!!!! These acts are largely symbolic but send a very clear message, "If you're an illegal go somewhere else because we don't want you here." The "English as the official language" provision has little impact other than making a statement that we expect you to learn the language if you live here. There was a TV report where they interviewed a woman, we assume an illegal, who had lived in Cherokee County for 10 years. She didn't speak a word of English. I find that sickening.
