Border Patrol Assaults are Up

God Bless 'em. It's got to take a lot of courage. And to be in that political shithole of ass kissing management has to wear on one's soul. But the good and brave members of the Border Patrol continue to try and do their jobs despite the politics.

Give 'em Hell, Border Patrol

Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2006, Yuma sector Border Patrol agents have been the victims of border violence 86 times — a 59 percent increase compared to 51 incidents during the same period the year prior, according to a news release.

However, total apprehensions of illegal immigrants at the Yuma Sector was one of two ports along the southern U.S. border to experience a significant decline.

Tells me the crosseros are geting more desperate. Tells me some of the stepped up enforcement is working. But it's still woefully inadequate.
