Eww, this is awesome. And, AGAIN, validates what I've said about not all Hispanics walk in lockstep. There are plenty of Americans of Hispanic descent that don't favor illegal aliens, either.

Roan Garcia-Quintana is the executive director of Americans Have Had Enough Coalition and the Coalition for a Traditional America. He also worked for President Ronald Reagan's administration as a deputy director of the National Institute of Education. He is a retired statistical researcher who lives in Mauldin. He may be reached at roangq@bellsouth.net.

A Truth Teller

The problem we are facing is not immigration. It is an "illegal immigration invasion." If you watched or listened to the news May 1 and 2, you are quite aware of the demonstrations that took place around the nation demanding "illegal immigration rights!"

You have to agree with me: "illegal rights" is an oxymoron! But that is exactly what was on the signs being carried by many of the demonstrators.

Check out the legal definition of "right" for starters. Right: It is that quality in a person by which he can do certain actions or possess certain things that belong to him by virtue of some title.

It was bad enough that these demonstrations disrupted many of our cities and even became violent in some. However, I personally was offended that the illegal aliens' protests were held on "May Day," a day historically celebrated by the Communist oppressive regimes around the world.

Since the marches that took place last year, the illegal-aliens and open-border advocates continue to increase their demands. Who and what, give them the right to make demands on the United States?

Can you imagine having an intruder coming in your home and starting to make demands on you? This is what is happening in the United States, and indeed in South Carolina.

South Carolina has been invaded, and we must do something about it. Some statistics indicate we have one of the top illegal alien rates in the nation. And we definitely cannot afford to sit idle until the federal government does something about this. It is not that the federal government is incapable of tackling this issue. The federal government is simply unwilling to enforce the laws that have been on the books since 1986. The only part of that law that was implemented was the part that gave 3 million illegal aliens amnesty. The part of securing our borders has been ignored for the most part.

We need to understand that illegal immigration is not a single issue. The illegal alien problem affects every major aspect of our lives. It taxes and affects our health care, welfare, education and criminal justice systems. It also endangers our American culture and indeed, our American security.

One of the participants in the May Day march said on the evening news, "America belongs to everyone." If we don't stop this illegal alien invasion now, our nation could just belong to everyone, which means we would not exist as a nation anymore. I don't think the vast majority of American citizens and legal immigrants want this.

That's, also, something that traitorous puke Linsey Graham repeated at a meeting of La Raza.
