It's never going to end. All the cries of "racial profiling," "mean-spirited," "Gestapo tactics," "splitting up families," etc... ICE is specifically targeting those that have been ordered out of the country. If they happen to run into other illegals they are, also, arrested. And the problem is? These cry babies don't even want their own criminals deported.

Screw this jerk. Our problem with illegal immigration is bigger than Mexico or our southern border, but that's the biggest part of the problem. And despite all the "Blame America First" crowd trying to pin Mexico's economic woes on the US, they only have themselves to blame. They've got a helluva lot more resources than say, Japan, so if they can't get their crap together they can go pound sand.

Will this bill keep rising up from the grave like some ghoul in a B grade zombie movie? I sure hope not. They went at this totally wrong. From hiding behind closed doors and trying to pass it in a week without debate to ignoring the voice of the people. From all their lies, deceit and dancing to scare tactics and "just a small vocal group of bigots" kind of remarks. These jerks need to be voted out of office. But make no mistake about it, there will be another amnesty. This government doen't have the political will to take the kind of stand it should to compel the invaders to leave. They've been much too cowardly for much too long. But, for now, it looks like this monstrosity is DEAD.

This isn't the end. This is a vote to limit debate on pending amendments and bring the amnesty to a final vote, I think by week's end. I was hoping it would be defeated because the final vote is almost a given. There are a few candy-ass democrats that voted for cloture who may oppose the final bill because it's too hard on those poor, poor, gate-crashers. There are a few republicans that voted for cloture who may oppose the final bill because it's too soft. But I think they'll have the votes to pass it to the House. All along I've held out hope that the House will either "Kill Bill" or tear the amnesty part out of it and go with an enforcement only bill.

School districts all over this country do the same thing. People living outside a district lie about residency so their kids can go to the nicer school. Some areas have passed very severe fines for lying on residency forms. So this story, because it focuses on an area along the border, just adds a different dimension. Kids coming over from Mexico on a daily basis. The reality is that in this country you can't toss a kid from school for being an illegal but you can toss them for living outside the district, citizen or illegal makes no difference.

I have no problem with any group helping LEGAL residents of this country as long as they're operating by the laws. BUT if these churches are actively trying to aid and abet active criminals then I have a problem with that. I would have a problem with churches being used as a drug drop house, a place of refuge from which to plan robberies, etc..

DULZURA – A truck driver was arrested yesterday after U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered he was hauling 70 undocumented migrants in the back of a semi-trailer specially designed for human smuggling, authorities said.
The arrest came after the driver tried crossing a Border Patrol checkpoint near Tecate.

But there is NO equivalence to the civil rights movement where black Americans fought for their rights as Americans. Black Americans were denied the rights of citizenship. We were lied to and scammed in 1986 and they're trying to pull the same crap this time. Is there some reason there has to be an amnesty to have enforcement? I'm not pointing my finger at only the democrats, and this traitorous bill wasn't going away so easily. I know why there's such a split in the GOP over this, but where are the democrats? In the Senate, they're in virtual lockstep. The House, humm, there may be hope. Much of this has to do with Senators being up for election every 4 years and House members having to run every two years. Anyway, I still think these cowards are going to sell out the sovereignty of this nation and reward those that have shown a contempt for our laws. AND, as with the "ONE TIME" amnesty of 1986, it sends out exactly the wrong message and will lead to a cycle of more illegals seeking amnesty every 10 years or so.

I know that ICE doesn't have the resources. I know that if ICE wanted they could go out and arrest illegals all day long but they lack the capacity to jail and process those they could arrest. I know that's not their fault. And I'm glad that in at least one jurisdiction they are checking on a regular basis. But, damnit, why doesn't every state in this nation do the same thing? At least it sends out the right message and a file is made on the person arrested. In part of this article it mention one jurisdiction that reports every foreign national, another says they only report those they have reason to believe are here illegally. Reporting every foreign national is the right thing to do because even a legal immigrant, or one that has acquired a certain legal status, is subject to deportation if they break cetain laws.

I don't have the energy to look up a source to validate what I'm about to mention but it was one of the many stories I've read on how deceptive politicians can be in this country. The story goes something like: The Senate is going to bring back the amnesty bill. They want the opposition to agree to a limited number of amendments to kill debate and have a vote. They really don't care about the amendments because after the bill is passed to the House they can add or delete as they wish. BUT, my thinking, the House may either kill this bill or stand fast on some amendments which the Senate couldn't swallow. We'll see.

This guy is a total traitor and should be tossed out of office. At least some of his constituents have gotten a clue and, according to this poll, his numbers are dropping.
