Sessions. I Really Love Ya' Man, But.....I Disagree

@ 11:42 PM (10 months, 26 days ago)

Senator Sessions has been one tough as nails, no BS, kick mucho butt, opponent of the amnesty and he has my admiration and thanks for that. But I smelled a scent of appeasement in this interview and I don't like it.

Give No Quarter

Sessions wants Congress to go back to the drawing board, but he acknowledged that deporting the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants currently in the country is not an option.

“We’re going to have to accept the fact…that everybody that’s been in our country for some time, that have roots here, that have family here, that have worked here faithfully for a long time, they can’t be asked to leave,” the senator said on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos. “But we do not need to create a system in which people who come to our country gain every single benefit that we give to lawful entrants into our country.

I wouldn't ask them to leave, I'd tell them to leave. Putting down roots is hardly a justification. They had "roots" in their countries of origin but that didn't stop them from coming here. They can transplant their roots  back to their native countries. Of course, as I admit, I'm a hard ass. Maybe, just maybe, if somebody came up with a very tough approach to certain gate-crashers, I MIGHT consider it. But, first, I want to see ENFORCEMENT. Hard ass enforcement. No BS enforcement. I want this weak-kneed, candy-ass, lying government to prove they're serious instead of making a lot of empty promises.
