Senate Scum Pass Cloture 64-35
This isn't the end. This is a vote to limit debate on pending amendments and bring the amnesty to a final vote, I think by week's end. I was hoping it would be defeated because the final vote is almost a given. There are a few candy-ass democrats that voted for cloture who may oppose the final bill because it's too hard on those poor, poor, gate-crashers. There are a few republicans that voted for cloture who may oppose the final bill because it's too soft. But I think they'll have the votes to pass it to the House. All along I've held out hope that the House will either "Kill Bill" or tear the amnesty part out of it and go with an enforcement only bill.
