I read this kind of CRAP and want to puke. Either she's an idiot, totally ignorant of the FACTS, or she's so driven by her pro-illegal agenda she doesn't give a damn.
Our borders will be less secure, not more. Employers who want to do the right thing and hire only legal workers won't have the tools to do so. Bullshit. As already mentioned, the Basic Pilot Program is already up and running. Check my Dunkin Donuts post. Also, by sending out the message that there's not going to be an amnesty and the border is getting toughened up, even without this amnesty bill, some illegals may decide not to come. AND with state and local anti-illegal laws kicking in some may take the hint and leave.
The 12 million illegal immigrants who are here now will continue to live in the shadows, making them less likely to cooperate with law enforcement to report crimes and less likely to pay their full share of taxes. Bullshit. Deport their asses and we won't need to consider the red herring argument about their supposed reluctance to report crimes out of fear of the police nor will we be victimized by illegals to the tune of thousands of deaths every year. "Paying their full share of taxes"? Even if they did it wouldn't offset their costs. AND, what's to stop the next wave of illegals who are willing to work for less?
In other words, the mess we created by an outdated and ill-conceived immigration policy 20 years ago will just get worse.
But you won't hear this if you tune in to talk radio over the next few days or read conservative blogs. Bullshit. Simpson and Mazolli, the bipartisan fathers of the 1986 IRCA blame a lack of political will/enforcement for its total failure. Same as Edwin Meese who was AG under Reagan during that era. What part of "We need enforcement" does this ignorant bitch not understand?
She goes on to play the typical bullshit games about how republicans are going to lose power, though she totally forgets about the number of democrats that opposed this bill, and how they're going to lose the Hispanic vote. Again, forgetting the fact that there are plenty of American Hispanics that don't support gate-crashers, either. OMG!! Some Americans of Hispanic descent believe in fair play and not rewarding people who ignore our laws? Say it ain't so.
