Mexican consul, and others, crying to the heavens in Irving, Texas
This scenario is being played out all across this nation. There are always the screams of "racial profiling," etc.. but that's wearing off real quick. There are only so many times you can play the race card or cry "wolf" before rational people see it for the feigned bullshit that it is.
Mexican Consul Enrique Hubbard Urrea has issued an unusual warning to immigrants from his country: Avoid the city of Irving.
Deportations in this city have skyrocketed in the last several months – from 262 in all of 2006 to 1,338 through mid-September.
"In this city, one has to be extra careful," he told Al Día . "And if possible, avoid going through there, because we suspect, and with good reason, that people are being detained simply because of their appearance."
At least 1,600 people have been turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement since June 2006 as part of the Criminal Alien Program, which provides for round-the-clock communication with federal authorities and is designed to detain illegal immigrants who have been accused of a crime.
And Irving Mayor Herbert Gears says that he will "utilize whatever we are able to use to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in Irving, and that includes for the immigrant population."
But consulate officials say they believe innocent people are being unfairly targeted. My ass. If they're here ILLEGALLY, then they're not innocent people. If they're citizens born to gate-crashers then they have to suffer the consequences of their border-crashing parents. So sad, too bad. Boo-Hoo.

"You" people are going to be the ones crying: "Why are all the prices going up? Why is it now almost $6.00 to buy a gallon of milk?" You want to know why? Because you lazy ass people who don't want to work on a farm, or don't want to clean houses, or don't want to move people or don't want to wash cars.......landscape, I could go on and on............guess who's doing the work? "You" people sit, and I do mean SIT, at your desk jobs or on your sofa getting more and more obese while you whine about the Mexicans taking your jobs and what, your free healthcare? Guess what, they WANT to pay taxes. Can you say the same? You are the people keeping the Wal Marts of America in business. I don't see you boycotting Wal Mart. Wal Mart who buys mass quantities of their goods from China and other 3rd world countries. How can you be so blind as to not see the dichotomy in all of this? While Wal Mart is spending billions overseas paying foreign workers who are not here putting their wages back into our economy.

I think the focal point of mainstream religion has changed - http://www.ebook-search-queen.com/ebook/reli/religion+and+ethics.all.html .That's part of the "see the world in black and white" that the fundamentalists find so important about their "my way or the highway to hell". Its far easier to use religion as the label for making oneself feel better or more important than someone else. I don't murder, so I'm better/God loves me more than someone who does.
