Irving, Texas. Illegals and supporters staging a whine festival
It never ends and it's ALWAYS the same boo-hoo-ing BS: "Racist, profiling Hispanics, the economy, tearing families apart, they're just coming to work..." MY ASS.
Angered over a record number of recent deportations in Irving, more than 1,000 protesters waved U.S. flags and chanted "We are America" as they rallied Wednesday night at City Hall. Bad news, morons. Unless you're a US citizen you might be Central American, or South American, Latin American, etc.. but you're NOT an "American" citizen.
Demonstrators called for Irving officials to put a moratorium on turning over suspected illegal immigrants to federal officials until immigration laws are reformed nationally. They also urged people to call Mayor Herbert Gears and ask him to stop deporting people from the city's jail.
"We need to raise our voice and we need to ask for changes about the things we don't like here," said Hector Flores, a leader in Irving's Hispanic community. Guess what, Hector? The American people have started to raise their voices about things they don't like. Illegal aliens, for example.
A few people who support the deportations carried signs in favor of the illegal immigration enforcement. I need to get more active. I need to get a few signs made.
Irving police have turned over at least 1,600 people to Immigration and Customs Enforcement since June 2006. In response, Mexican Consul Enrique Hubbard Urrea last week warned immigrants from his country to avoid Irving. And community leader Carlos Quintanilla said he would organize a boycott of Irving businesses if the city persisted. PLEASE BOYCOTT, you dirtbag. Please have all illegals boycott the schools, roads, jobs, hospitals, electricity, water, gas and any place that might feed them. PLEASE boycott until you turn blue.
Opponents of the program say Irving police are unfairly targeting Hispanics. They say that many Hispanics have become afraid of police and that families are being torn apart as parents are deported thousands of miles from their children.
"This isn't justice," said Deyla Reyes, a Northlake College student. "We need to stop this. These people have come here to work. We cannot support this program."
Many people at the rally accused Irving police of racial profiling and turning Hispanics over for deportation because of minor traffic infractions.
"We're not just hurting people driving without driver's licenses," said Luis DeLaGarza, a political consultant who helped organize the rally. "We are hurting the economy in Irving. We need to have immigration reform." Gee, never heard any of those charges, before now. (COUGH) Damn, they left out "mean-spirited" and "divisive."

Guess what Ben? You're message is showing your lack of education. Have you learned to speak English? You certainly don't have the grammatical skills or spelling skills to write a cohesive comment. I sure hope you can understand what I am saying. I'm sure, no, I'm certain, that your family originated from another country. It sounds like you don't like what's going on here, maybe you should be the one to leave?

go home, apply for citizenship legally, and we'll see you when you achieve it. i don't care how much "good" you're doing for Texas. we have laws, you broke them, you get sent back. that's why they call them "laws." they're not "elective", they apply to YOU. you're not special just because you really want to be here. you broke the law, get it???
