(Illegal?) Pleads "Guilty" to raping 10 year old girl.

I've seen a couple of different accounts of this story. One heading said he was an illegal, this story says he was here on a work permit. Some things just don't make sense. And there's a part to this story that bothers me no matter whether he was an illegal or not.

WTF?

A man who was on the run for two years pleaded guilty Monday to raping a 10-year-old girl.

Louis Bonilla, 30, faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing April 1 in Butler County Common Pleas Court.

Bonilla, a native of El Salvador who is not a U.S. citizen, also faces deportation as a result of his guilty plea, said Judge Noah Powers II. His lawyer, Robert Fiorenza, said Bonilla has a valid work permit and has lived in the United States for years, having graduated from high school in Los Angeles. How was he able to legally live here, graduate from school, and get a work permit? About the ONLY scenario I can imagine is if his parents were legally working here and brought him along.

Authorities in Prince George's County, Md., arrested Bonilla for a misdemeanor crime of which details were unavailable Monday. He gave a fictitious name, but his fingerprints matched the ones on file for the 2005 Hamilton rape.

Maryland officials notified Hamilton police about the match six days after his arrest there. On request of Hamilton police, Maryland police tracked down Bonilla at his workplace and rearrested him on Oct. 10, said Hamilton Detective David Collins. WHEN did Prince George County discover he had a warrant? Consider this: He was on the loose for days and only because he gave them a correct address were they able to find him. In many instances, because of don't ask policies, nobody contacts ICE and an illegal who may have deportation orders is simply released. Glad they got this animal off the streets but it's very troublesome.
