ICE fugitive teams net 345 illegals in L.A. area in 1 week.

I think we need to see about ten times the arrests and deportations but, hey, they're doing the right thing and are facing some unbelievable bullshit.

Bust them and boot them.

A week-long federal law enforcement operation targeting immigration fugitives, criminals and violators netted 345 arrests in five Southland counties, customs officials announced today.

Of those arrested, 238 were suspected immigration fugitives -- people who allegedly had ignored final orders of deportation or who returned to the United States illegally after being deported. About 20 percent of those arrested had criminal histories in addition to being in the country illegally, ICE reported.

Among those arrested was Jose Perez-Padilla, 46, a previously deported Mexican citizen and gang member whose criminal history includes felony convictions for drug sales and assault with a deadly weapon, according to ICE. Awww, where's their compassion? He's just trying to help his family have a better life.

Most of the suspected immigration violators arrested -- 215 -- were from Mexico.

Others were from 17 other countries, including Colombia, Indonesia, Armenia, Thailand and India.

So far this year, the ICE fugitive operations teams in the Los Angeles area have made more than 1,000 arrests. Ok, that's about 500 a month which equals 6,000 a year. In L.A.??? Sorry, guys. Ya'll need more teams.  AND arrests doesn't equal deported. I don't know how many were "collateral" arrests and out of that how many were deported.
