Calls and e-mails needed on HB 978 which has moved on to the Georgia Senate
Americans are being killed by illegal aliens driving illegally in Georgia. Dustin Inman was killed by an illegal alien. We can deter illegal drivers by seizing their vehicles. Senate Bill 978 has passed the Georgia House and is going to the Senate Public Safety Committee soon. It would allow the seizure of automobiles driven by illegal aliens who are involved in traffic stops.
In Gwinnett county, many citizens motorists avoid certain roads because they know the illegals are driving erratically and have no insurance. See here.
It is a federal crime to transport an illegal alien. Federal law allows for the seizure of vehicles.(See here). We can make it a Georgia law as well. ALONG WITH HR 413, (ENGLISH AS OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IN GA.) THIS POSSIBILITY IS DRIVING THE ILLEGAL ALIEN LOBBY LOCO! More illegals will leave Georgia if we make Georgia less attractive to them.
PLEASE - TODAY AND TOMORROW - CALL OR E-MAIL THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE TO ASK THAT THEY VOTE YES ON SB 978!

We are still waiting to hear when HR 413 the English as official language of Georgia government will be voted on again in the House.
SB 350 - Felony charge for driving w/o ever having been issued a GA. driver's license is on track for becoming law.
SB 340 - No sanctuary cities in Georgia law is looking good and will go to the House soon.
There are other bills aimed at illegal immigration pending, we will take a look at them next week after the RALLY TO OPPOSE THE NEXT PROMISED McCAIN/KENNEDY AMNESTY-AGAIN PLAN
