(Illegal?) shot dead during home invasion
Breaks my heart all to pieces. Too bad the home owner didn't kill all of them.
A man fatally shot in an alleged home invasion has been identified by Tucson police as a man convicted in a 1996 robbery here, a state Department of Corrections Web site shows.
Carlos Ramirez Valenzuela, 34, a Mexican citizen, was among at least three men who burst into a Littletown-area home near Craycroft Road and Interstate 10 on Thursday looking to steal drugs, Sgt. Fabian Pacheco said.
When police arrived at the home on East Sanderling Drive last week, officers found Valenzuela lying dead in the house. Police are looking for the other suspects, Pacheco said.
He said an investigation has shown no evidence the homeowner was involved in any criminal activity.
According to the Department of Corrections Web site, Valenzuela was deportable after serving at least half of his 10-year sentence in the 1996 robbery.
He was released from prison in March 2005 after serving time for armed robbery and attempted armed robbery convictions in Pima County, according to the Web site. It does not show if he was credited with time served in jail while awaiting trial or whether any action was taken to deport him after his release. Why wasn't this piece of shit deported? Why was this worm food allowed around human beings?
Information on Valenzuela's residency status here was not immediately available from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Phoenix.
