The part that bothers me is wondering how many actually get any serious jail time? Even though we don't know how many illegals and how much drugs are coming thru it's nice to think that, at least, somebody isn't making money off of the tons that get seized.

Nothing new here.
A 16-year-old Mexican girl knew to use a cell phone to call 911 to report she was being held against her will and used as a sex slave. What she didn't know was where she was.
Authorities said the girl on Wednesday was living in a foster home after police found her held captive at a Jacinto City home. The house in the 1300 block of Jennifer was found to have a padlocked room where authorities say the girl was forced to stay for the past two months.
Gregoria Salgado Vazquez, 58, and her son, David Salazar, 27, each are charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and aggravated kidnapping. They are being held in the Harris County Jail in lieu of $400,000 bail each. Vazquez, according to Jacinto City Police Chief Joe Ayala, is in the country illegally.
The girl told authorities that she was sexually abused by Salazar and others.
"She was sexually abused several times by different people at the home and at different locations for money. She said Ms. Vazquez wouldn't let her leave," Ayala said.
The girl apparently was kept in a room that was padlocked from the outside. The house where she was found is equipped with burglar bars on all the windows and three large dogs were kept in the backyard.
The girl, who also said she had been whipped with a belt, said she had been smuggled within the last two months. She was taken into protective custody through Child Protective Services, Ayala said.
Estella Olguin, a CPS spokeswoman, said Immigration and Customs Enforcement have since taken custody of the girl and placed her in foster care.
