I usually preface anything about Arpaio with a disclaimer. I'm not going to do that this time. I'll leave that up to those that know him much better than I do. BUT I do like a no nonsense, play time is over, approach to illegal immigrants/criminals. Also, notice the standard bullshit rhetoric. The only piece of rhetoric they left out was the "They're going to be racially profiling" crap.

Bust them and deport them.

Hispanic leaders are speaking out about the sheriff's posse which goes on patrol today for what Sheriff Joe Arpaio calls "a crime suppression effort."

Immigrant rights activists are angry over what they call the sheriff's abuse of power. Ahhh, enforcing the law is an abuse of power?

"We all recognize the immigration laws of this country are broken and nobody more than us wants to see those laws changed so that tiny tyrants like Joe Arpaio can't abuse that law," says Gutierrez.  Typical bullshit. The immigration laws are ok for the most part. The problem is the total lack of enforcement and everytime there's any enforcement the pro-criminals have a screaming fit.

"While criminal rapists and murders are walking the streets of Maricopa County today because the sheriff has assigned over 300 officers to one task - to search down the person who is washing the dishes at the restaurant you're going to have lunch at." More typical bullshit. Those harmless gardners and dishwashers commit all sorts of crimes including murdering police officers.
