I adamantly oppose any kind of racial profiling. The sad reality is that a guy that's Hispanic, who gets pulled over for some traffic infraction, may blame it on being ethnically targeted and nothing will change his mind. If he perceives it as racist then racist it is. There's very little that can be done to overcome a perception. All that can be done is to fight it with reality/facts. More on that in a second.

Usually I don't post articles from the Washington Times because they are suffering from a guilt by association problem because the Reverend Sun Yung Moon, or whatever he's called, owns them. But this mentions a couple of aspect that bear noticing. Also, there've been several incidents of police arresting jerks bringing in loads of illegals to Maryland to get licenses. Even if Maryland enacts/has a residency requirement all it takes is some bogus receipts.

This is mind-numbing. Our government has no serious intentions of securing our borders but we spend who knows how much securing the borders of other nations.
