Georgia. Bill to punish unlicensed drivers goes to Governor for signing.
I think it should be tougher but this will do, beats a kick in the ass, and sends the right message. To my understanding, this law is directed at those that NEVER had a license, not those that left their license at home.
Under legislation that received final passage in the state Senate on Friday, a driver who is stopped for a fourth time in five years without a valid license would be prosecuted as a felon punishable by at least a year in prison.
