Plenty of people have legitimate gripes with Arpaio. Many of you know a lot more about him that I ever will or want to know. BUT this guy is NOT the answer for a suitable replacement as sheriff of Maricopa County.

Candy-assed race baiter.

The man who wants to unseat Joe Arpaio as Maricopa County sheriff is criticizing Arpaio's illegal immigrant roundup near 25th Street and Bell Road.  It's NOT a round-up. That's just hype.

Sheriff candidate Dan Saban says with 40,000 felony warrants on the books, the roundups are a waste of taxpayer money. I've heard this whine before. I wonder how many of those that are wanted are illegals? And considering 1 in 10 illegal crossers has a criminal record then I don't have a problem with any law-enforcement targeting gate-crashers.

He says the roundups are fanning the flames of racial tension in the county, and he fears they could lead to violence. Gee, where have I heard that tripe before? Usually, it's more like "Fanning the flames of anti-immigrant hysteria." "I read the blogs on KTAR. And I tell you I'm absolutely horrified. Racism is surfacing and I'm very worried about it within our county and I just cannot believe that this sheriff is willing to go out there in create that kind of situation where if I understand correctly, the SWAT team had to come out and separate the two factions."  Oh, heaven forbid that Americans don't always agree.

I have to say this once in a while. I know there's an element of racism from some on the issue of illegal immigration. I've seen it from both sides and it bothers me. I don't like it. Also, I know that the issue has been hijacked by the pro-criminals to make it a race/ethnicity issue because they have NOTHING with which to make a reasonable argument supporting illegals. So, that's all they ever yell at those that oppose illegal immigration, amnesties, etc.. "RACIST!!"

Saban says if he's elected things won't be the same. "The thing that I'll do differently than Mr. Arpaio is I won't invade cities as has been done in Phoenix in my opinion and just go after people based on the color of their skin or their desire to be in this country." Typical BULLSHIT. "Invade cities?" Well, our nation has been invaded by millions that showed a total contempt of our borders. What about them? Going after people because of the color of their skin or desire to be in this country??? Excuse me? EVERYTIME there's any enforcement the pro-illegals ALWAYS scream that it's racially profiling. And it's not their "desire to be in this country" thats' the problem. The problem is they ARE in this country in total disregard of our laws.
