Business and pro-criminals whine over Memphis bust
Oh, this gets soooo old. It's ALWAYS the same old crap. Another agenda driven piece of puke from the plantation owners.
While some Memphians welcomed the news of Tuesday's arrests of 34 suspected illegal immigrant workers at the Air National Guard project, the action -- not surprisingly -- has made some immigrants nervous. "While SOME...?" Ahh, how about "While MANY?"
Others didn't see the arrests as bad news.
"One of the things that I've said for a while now is that black men will gladly do the work that illegal aliens do," said school board member and church pastor Kenneth T. Whalum Jr.
He said a service organization he's involved with has dozens of trained men ready to fill the vacated jobs. I think that's kind of a bigoted statement. It harkens back to Presidente Fox saying that "immigrants" take jobs that even black men won't do. I don't care the color nor ethnicity of a worker if they're legal.
Staff members from the Mexican consulate in Little Rock came to Memphis this week to make sure their citizens' human rights were respected, said consul Andres Chao. They shouldn't be mistreated, they should be DEPORTED.
Pablo J. Davis, executive director of Latino Memphis, said some business owners that employ illegal immigrants expressed concern about raids and say they like their workers. No shit? Well, ahh, if I could find good labor for cheap I'd like them, too. As long as they're LEGAL. But these dirtbags don't give a damn if they're legal or not, they just want cheap/cheaper labor.
"This isn't an immigration policy," he said. "And what the raids do is they enforce sort of selectively, sporadically and unpredictably in a way that creates a lot of fear and trepidation." It is policy for ICE to investigate claims of immigration violations, especially violations en masse, and if it spreads fear thru the illegal community and the slime that hire them, GOOD!!!
But the law doesn't require employers to confirm that the documents are real, and Robeson said the firm doesn't do an additional check.
"How can we tell?" he said. "We're not lawyers, we're in construction." THE standard textbook alibi they all use. "We're not document experts. How were we to know." Total bullshit.
