Judge orders 3 to learn English.

@ 07:20 PM (1 month, 17 days ago)

Doc, you asked and I looked it up. The article doesn't say anything about their immigration status.

I don't expect every immigrant coming into this country to become fluent but I do expect them to learn English. At least, a good, workable, amount. What really fries my taters is when I read these bits about illegals that have lived here for many years and speak thru a translator. No excuse. Also, as best I know, becoming proficient in English is a requirement of people becoming naturalized citizens.

Learn English, putos.

A judge known for creative sentencing has ordered three Spanish-speaking men to learn English or go to jail.

The men, who faced prison for criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, can remain on parole if they learn to read and write English, earn their GEDs and get full-time jobs, Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. said. If they're illegals they should be put in jail then deported.

  1. My question is why is the judiciary bending over backwards to accomodate this scum?

  2. This kind of sounds like part of the failed amnesty proposal. "If they learn English, pay back taxes, ..." Honestly, and it's wrong to assume, I think these guys are probably illegals.

  3. Oops. I'm WRONG again. Just read a bit that said they were legal residents. Then why the hell don't they speak English?
