Same old crap on illegal aliens

@ 01:23 PM (1 month, 15 days ago)

I haven't seen anything, today, that made me go, "Ewww, cool. I need to post this one." What I've seen is the same smattering of similar stories. A few illegals busted here and there, some politicians coming out for or against anti-illegal alien laws.

So much of this issue never changes. I've heard the same old bullshit rhetoric from the pro-criminal side so often  that I know it by heart/: "Driving them deeper into the shadows. Spreading fear in the immigrant community. Racially profiling. Anti-immigration bigots. Our immigration system is broken. What would Jesus do? They'll be too afraid to report crimes. We need to build bridges, not walls. Fanning the flames of anti-immigrant hysteria..." It gets sooo old.

It does bother me that the issue has been turned into one of ethnicity by the pro-criminal side. If you oppose illegal aliens and/or illegal immigration and/or even more legal immigration you are automatically a racist, nativist extremist, etc... " "Oh, they're going to lose the Hispanic vote." Meaning that if a politician comes out against illegal aliens there are, therefore, against Hispanics. Bullshit. NEVER mentioned is the FACT that there are plenty of Americans who happen to be tan that don't like illegal immigration and line breakers, either. These are Americans, just like anybody else, that believe in playing by the rules. These are Americans that vote according to right or wrong, not their skin color. The media NEVER mentions how the Hispanic vote split about 50/50 in Arizona on very tough anti-illegal alien votes: No bail for illegals, ending some state freebies, English as the official language, etc... The pro-criminals, race baiters, and others want to act like that was some kind of enigma.

I've said many times: I do not blame illegals for every problem in this country. I do not hate illegals, except for those that feel entitled to be here after showing a total disregard of our laws or committing any number of crimes once they're here. Illegals are very easy to understand, it's about the money. Look up the Klondike gold rush, sometime. You'll get a real good understanding of what people will do trying to hit it rich or get "a better life."

There are a number of good signs all over this nation, as more and more localities pass "Get tough" laws, that the days of being "home free" once they got here are over. Illegal are worried. They should be. More and more are self-deporting as the "Welcome" mat gets pulled up and the jobs get harder to find. Many are holding out hope that the next President will get them an amnesty. I'm hoping that won't happen anytime soon. Congress got an earful the last time they tried to pass another amnesty and I think it will be twice as bad next time. My only fear is a Congress that tries to pass a series of mini-amnesties under the radar. I have little doubt they'll try to sell the American people another pack of lies, false promises and "Poor farmer Greenjeans just can't survive without them" crap to pull another scam.

The federal government has no intention of getting serious about enforcement. The meager efforts they've put forth validate that assertion, but those efforts are having a huge impact, simply because there's been so little enforcement in about the last 50 years. I'm staying optimistic that the American people won't let those weasels in Congress pull another fast one anytime soon.
