This is a hoot. Basically, the plantation owners and pro-illegals are getting together for a PR campaign to snow the people. They should rename their group, "A Better Way to Bullshit Oklahoma." And I LOVE the rhetoric of "unintended consequences." I've covered some of that before.

This is so disgusting and transparent. Does anyone think these, not all, Catholics would be so supportive of illegal aliens if most illegals were Muslims or atheists? If they're out to save souls and win converts is there some reason that this Bishop and others of like mind can't go to where those that need their services live, rather than aiding and abetting them here? I believe these laws have already withstood several challeges but the pro-illegals and plantation owners can't stand it.

I'm against this, for now. Maybe later. Depends. For right now I'd like to see the laws given a chance to work and the employers raising wages to attract legal workers. Interesting that the pro-illegal group would, also, oppose this but they have some legitimate reasons.

WOO-HOO. This is GREAT news. I've only rented at a few apartments in my life but they did credit and other checks, some of which I paid for under their rules. In this case it seems the landlords stopped doing that when they knew a bunch of tenants, or potential tenants, were illegals. IF true (cough) I hope these bastards get a huge fine and jail time. STOP AIDING, ABETTING, AND HIRING ILLEGALS.

This is off, way off, my usual topics but my sister sent it to me and it is such a rare event it merits mention. Typically, when men find out a child they are paying support to isn't theirs, the court says, "So sad, too bad. Keep paying" which always struck me as outrageous. This is the FIRST incident with this outcome that I've heard.
