Sadly, their numbers have been cut way down and I think the last of them are scheduled out before long.

I thought the initial 500 million out of 1.4 billion was a done deal. Seems Congress still has to approve it. I have very mixed feelings about this. Yes, we are, in large part, the reason they have such a huge problem with drug cartels, etc.. BUT we have to pay for their drug war? Why don't they take all the money they confiscate to pay for helicopters and equipment? In this country, like in my county, if the Sheriff's department makes a large cash seizure they get to keep some/most of it. Trust me, the local deputies all drive nice new cars. They make plenty of seizures from the interstate transportation of drugs and money.

Just wanted to take a step back for a moment and see the big picture. As we know, apprehensions are down along the southern border. They dropped 20% last year and another 17% so far this year. Some credit that to our slowing economy, some credit it to more and more states taking a harder stand against illegals, and some credit tougher enforcement along the border. As most agree, despite how the jobs are lost, jobs are the number one incentive. No jobs, fewer reasons to come.

MY ASS. Yeah, some might but think about this: You and your family live in some shithole. You sneak into this country, find a job at 8 or 10 dollars an hour, which is 8 or 10 times more than you made in your shithole country. Here, there are nice paved streets, street lights, hospitals, schools, good police and fire departments, etc.. Would you want to go back? More likely you'd want your family to join you, here.

What we're witnessing around the country is that when one locality passes anti-illegal laws, and the illegals leave to adjacent areas, those adjacent areas start talking about the problem. Some pass their own laws targeting illegals. In this instance, illegals are leaving one county and moving to adjacent ones and those counties are trying not to enact new laws.

I do see some of his takes and parts of his shows via computer. I do know this, the pro-illegals hate his guts. Most of the hatred seems to be that he focuses part of his shows on the insanity around illegal immigration. So sad, too bad. the truth hurts and the pro-illegals hate truth. I'm of the opinion that the single WORST thing the pro-illegals ever did was have those massive protests of years past. I've read that many in the pro-illegal movement feel the same. Seeing hundreds of thousands of pro-illegals and illegal aliens marching, as they waved foreign flags, and DEMANDED their "rights" was a little much for the American people to swallow. Personally, I think it pissed a lot of people off. At later marches the word went out to bring more American flags and lay off with the foreign flags but the later demonstrations didn't gain a lot of support. I don't think the next demonstrations will get much support, either. Perhaps with a couple of exceptions. Maybe in a few cities like L.A. Maybe. I've been wrong lots of times but I'm not seeing it.

This is a good thing. I've posted about some area of the border where smugglers aren't even federally prosecuted for hauling up to 500 pounds of marijuana. Commony, illegal Mexicans are simply IDed and sent back. OTMs may be held before being deported to their home countries. Some areas started prosecuting illegals but were targeting those that had priors. Those areas have seen/are seeing a reduction in crosseros. So, initially, the prosecutions strain the sustem because they're trying to prosecute more people BUT, as word spreads, there will be fewer illegals to prosecute.

I've heard this excuse a few too many times. "Illegal immigration is a federal matter and we're not getting involved." The reality is that our federal government has done a non-job on illegal immigration for a very long time. That's why there's a growing list of states and localities that are stepping up to the plate. I just made mention of these types of arguments. There's not always a cause and effect relationship between facts. In the following article the writer is trying to make the case that because Oklahoma passed tough laws against illegals, and illegals are leaving, that's why unemployment is down. Maybe, maybe not. There are other factors to consider. What if more companies opened? What if more natives left? Could be many reasons for this. Obviously, I'd like to see a cause and effect relationship between illegals leaving and unemployment dropping but its' going to take more than this. It would make sense BUT.

No surprise with that, happens all the time. An illegal gets arrested for whatever crime, nobody checks their immigration status or ICE drops the ball, the criminal is let loose to commit other crimes up to the point where someone dies. THEN people go, "What the hell?" That's why some areas are mandating screening of arrestees. It took the well publicized brutal murders of 3 young people before New Jersey got on the program.

The drill goes something like this: The fed isn't paying for illegals that are being held in local custody for local crimes. They only pay if the illegal is being held awaiting ICE and, even then, the fed isn't vey good at compensating the locals. So, the local communities are having to eat a lot of the costs. South Carolina is looking at 3 regional holding facilities for illegals to get them on the fed's back and off of theirs. Whatever it takes, whatever works. But my slant is that the fed should be absorbing the costs associated with holding, housing and feeding illegals. It should not fall on the state unless they are in state custody for a state crime. And, even then, the fed should comp them something. If the fed had caught the slimeballs then they wouldn't be running around committing more local crimes.

This is great news and a huge slap in the face to Chief Bratton and other political candy asses. The part of Special Order 40 that riles many is that the police can't do jack about an illegal, say one that the officer knows was deported, unless there's another crime involved AND that goes for those stopped for other infractions. Cop pulls a green Buick over. The passengers are all known illegal gang-bangers that have been previously arrested. The officer can't do jack. He/she isn't even supposed to notify ICE. It's only AFTER arrests are made for certain offenses do the police make note that the arrestee is an illegal then it's on the detectives going over the reports to teletype ICE.

This is sickening but they're not the only ones. This is the mentality of our government and many pro-illegals. A scum businessman trying to save money by hiring illegals doesn't give a damn about their background. They don't screen them to weed out rapists, murderers, child molesters, etc.. because they don't care. All they care about is getting good, CHEAP, labor. My 2 cents: If an employer knowingly hires an illegal, and that illegal commits a crime, then the employer should be charged as an accomplice to that crime.
