It's pretty much the same as always. Some illegals got caught, some illegal was accused of a really vile rape, some "immigrants" were caught with drugs, some place is ok with helping pay their tuitions, another place is trying to cut it off, etc.. I live for the odd, the unusually outrageous, the trends, the latest slime political move. It's really sad that I've seen so much tragedy and off the sanity scale stories that they seem to blur after a while.

A 25-year-old illegal alien was arrested Tuesday on a charge that he sexually molested a 3-year-old girl, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital on Saturday complaining of pain, according to sheriff's reports. A medical examination determined the girl had been molested, authorities said.

Things are NOT good in Mexico.
More dead cops.
Five federal police and a suspected hit man were killed in a shootout Tuesday as authorities surrounded a house in Culiacan, home to the Sinaloa drug cartel.
Four other federal police were hospitalized with wounds, and police took several suspected cartel members into custody, according to a federal police official who wasn’t authorized to give his name.
In the nearby border city of Juarez, a death list of 22 officers was left at a monument to fallen police four months ago, addressed to “those who still don’t believe” in the power of the cartels.
Of the 22, seven have been killed and three wounded in assassination attempts. All but one of the others have quit.

Two men face federal charges after being accused of helping illegally smuggle Brazilian citizens into the United States last week.
Luiz Roberto Jardim and Yuen Cheng both face a charge of conspiring to smuggle aliens into the country, according to an affidavit filed in the case. They will be arraigned on the charges June 6, but are temporarily being detained without bail.
The investigation began Friday after a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent saw a boat at an address in the Bahamas known to be used by smugglers to bring Brazilian citizens into the country illegally. The boat was registered to a Port St. Lucie address and the agent notified Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, the affidavit states.

I found this from FAIR:
May 21, 2008
Last night, Democratic Leadership partially capitulated and agreed to strip three of the four immigration amendments from the Iraq War Funding Bill that is on the Senate floor this week.
The move came when Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) made a point of order under Senate Rule 16, which prohibits legislating policy on an appropriations bill. The parliamentarian agreed, and stripped the following amendments:
- The AgJobs Amendment that would have granted amnesty to 1.35 million agricultural workers and their families;
- The Murray-Gregg Amendment that would have made approximately 218,000 more green cards available for multinational executives and so-called "highly skilled workers" by "recapturing" visas from as far back as 1994; and
- The Leahy Amendment that would have extended for 5-years a program that helps wealthy investors get green cards.
However, Senate sources tell us that the Mikulski H-2B amendment - an amendment that could lead to hundreds of thousands of new unskilled H-2B guest workers flooding the labor market in only a few years - is still in the Iraq War Funding Bill. This is because the Iraq War Funding Bill is being considered in two parts and point of order raised by Senator Menendez only applied to the first part. The H-2B provision is in the second.
Please keep calling your Senators until Democratic Leadership strips this final special-interest immigration amendment from the Iraq War Funding Bill! Tell them that you oppose importing tens of thousands of new unskilled (H-2B) guest workers to appease corporate interests—and especially when the economy is struggling.
We heard throughout the day that your calls put intense pressure on Senators across the country. One staffer told us that the phones were "lighting up like a Christmas tree." Please help us make sure Congress looks out for the American people and not special interests.

Hence, if you oppose amnesties or illegal immigration then you are a racist, you hate brown people, you hate Hispanics, etc... And it doesn't matter to the race baiters how many times I say this they'll still scream, "Racist." It's all they ever do.

No rational person would condone what has happened to this poor women - I hope the perpetrator is located and justice is done BUT I do get very sick and tired of American "red necks" blaming all and everything on illegal immigrants and "aliens". How easy and convenient that is to do - stops you having to face the truth. "American rednecks?"
What most Americans fail to grasp (or don't want to grasp because the truth is too awful) is that without these 'illegal immigrants" Americas highly indulgent lifestyle (compared to most other first world countries) would fall apart at the seams. These (mostly decent, law biding and desperate people) do your housework, groom your gardens, clean your toilets, walk your dogs, do all manner of menial tasks (often through the wee small hours so that your daily lives aren't "too inconvenienced"). They do the 'behind the scenes" jobs that most Americans don't want to do for what can only be described as shockingly low hourly rates and they do this because your government, for the most part, conveniently chooses to turn a blind eye to what amounts to unfettered abuse of people who have no other way of feeding and providing for themselves. Perpetuating the myths and using the mantra of the leftists, "Blame America." In fact, most illegals have committed a federal crime by illegal entry, about 60% are illegal crossers and 40% visa overstays. Also, many though I have no figures, commit additional felonies by using bogus federal documents such as a Social Security card. If they were such good, law-abiding people they wouldn't be here. Much to the contrary, they've shown a total disregard for our laws and our borders, and they've shown a total contempt of this nation by sneaking in, hiding out, then demanding certain rights.
Have any of you ever asked the question - why are these "illegal immigrants" so desperate to come to your country. I'll tell you why - because over the last 100 years America and countries like the UK and France have extorted and distorted both the world economies and third world countries for personal gain and power to such an extent that people in those countries can barely eek out a basic living - they can't afford to drive a Lexus to work, redecorate their homes twice a year because of the latest trends, buy endless consumer goods and dispose of them weeks later for the newer model - no - these people are forced to work for unspeakable amounts of money and long hours to make those very consumer goods you trash in a heart beat. Globalisation - the manipulation of poor countries by large greed obsessed nations like the USA is killing this world. These people are now 'payback" for what America has done over this time - you are now getting your just desserts as a consequence - just like the EU is now experiencing with the influx of western europeans. Clueless propaganda.
Be thankful you have "illegal immigrants" or you'd have to clean your own toilets. It's time American showed a little more humility towards these poor souls who have been separated from their loved ones to come to a land that has a seriously bad attitude to them - and then wants to to pay them as little as $2 and hour to maintain their indulgent lifestyles - shame on America for doing this I say!

Here's the drill, illegals that commit additional crimes get run thru the judicial system. If it's a "Don't ask/Don't tell" jurisdiction then the illegal might be bailed out and flee, or pay their fines and be back on the streets. Folks, you just can't make this stuff up. Could someone PLEASE explain this one to me? I'm thinking, "Gee, nothing worse than irate genitals runnings around" or "If her immigrant vagina is angry then her friend's illegal alien vagina must be raging mad." Ewww, wouldn't want to see that.

More and more localities are looking at trying to ease their jail crowding, judicial and societal cost by specifically targeting the worst of the worst illegals, those that have committed additional crimes since being here. Hence, these localities are waking up to how much better things would be if they could get illegals deported, out of their jails and off of their streets.

Sometimes it gets laughable. ICE does their job, as anemic as they are, and the pro-criminals wet themselves.

I've posted the video of some lawyers telling a business group how to cheat the visa system to bring in cheap foreign labor. Put that and this story in mind whenever you hear business screaming they can't get enough workers.

Looking up Mexico's immigration laws and looking over Mayor Villaraigosa's comments about wanting ICE to halt workplace "raids" focused me on a few facts which need to be hammered home, again and again. The pro-illegals are total hypocrits in so many of their arguments and are deceitful as hell.

They just voted to decriminalize illegal immigration to not look so hypocritical but that won't save them. I believe they dropped it from being a felony. Doesn't mean that illegals get a free pass. Here, unauthorized presence is treated as a civil violation but crossing the border without permission is a federal misdemeanor. However, to my knowledge few are criminally prosecuted. Most often, they are given the option of expedited removal. Meaning a fast trip back across the border. In some of our border areas they've started putting illegal crossers in jail but are targeting the worst of the lot. Those with criminal records, multiple illegal crossings, etc..

It's not nice to point and laugh at others' misfortunes. However, since this was an illegal who had zero rights to be here I'm not hands-off about it.

I expected to see an ok turnout in a few places. I haven't heard about L.A., yet. But the news filtering down is that the numbers are way, way down from a couple of years ago. Atlanta saw a large turnout in 2006. I haven't heard jack about it today. Chicago got a few thousand, I'll guess 3-5 thousand, but I don't know how that compares to past events.

This is a very good thing. This should be the law of the land. That EVERY employer use the E-verify system. No, it's notperfect but it would help to cut down the number of illegals working and help prosecute the employers that want to cheat.

For many years, money sent to Mexico from their nationals living here has risen in the double digits. Last year the rise nearly stopped. This year, so far, it's starting to fall. I expect Calderon and others to have a screaming fit.

What drives me crazy is WHY are these convicted criminals EVER let loose back on the streets? Why doesn't ICE pick them up at the prisons after they serve their sentences? Not all absconders are convicted criminals, some simply lost their appeals to stay and were ordered to leave but didn't.
