ICE fugitive team targets absconders. Good video on link

@ 12:23 AM (15 days, 9 hours ago)

What drives me crazy is WHY are these convicted criminals EVER let loose back on the streets? Why doesn't ICE pick them up at the prisons after they serve their sentences? Not all absconders are convicted criminals, some simply lost their appeals to stay and were ordered to leave but didn't.

There's a good video on the sidebar of the article.

Two of the three apprehended were fugitives. They were convicted, spent time in prison, were released and ordered to leave the country, but didn't. The third was a convicted sex predator in the U.S. illegally.

One of the individuals arrested, Juan Enamarodo of Durham, was a convicted cocaine and heroin trafficker who eluded authorities in New York and New Jersey.

All three were taken to the ICE Office in Cary where the deportation process began. ICE Officers will check to see if they have any outstanding warrants. Once that is done the removal process begins. That could take weeks or even years. I have no idea how it could take years to deport one of these slime unless their home country refuses to take tehm back or stalls the paperwork.
