ICE busts 11 illegals at country club
And the typical, "We didn't know they were illegals."
Dear Jerks,
You don't even bother doing any kind of background check on your employees? Did you know one in ten crossers has a criminal record?
Careful not to interrupt players on fairways where Sam Snead once golfed, or on courts where tennis champions Ivan Lendl and Steffi Graf once trained, federal agents swooped through the gates of Gleneagles Country Club on Wednesday and slapped handcuffs on 11 undocumented Haitians -- some of them longtime employees, tagged for deportation. Heaven forbid that enforcing the law would upset some of the high and mighty. SCREW THEM.
Immigration authorities, tipped to one worker's illegal status, checked files of other workers before launching the raid afternoon at the club west of Delray Beach. The men allegedly had ignored a judge's order to leave the country, officials said. Typical of the total contempt that illegals have for this nation and our laws.
Robert Schulbaum, president of the Alliance of Delray Residential Associations, said he feared the raid could lead workers in neighboring communities and country clubs into hiding. It's nearly impossible to find a maintenance company that doesn't employ undocumented people, said Schulbaum, former president of the Gleneagles Country Club association. "I'm sure they're all concerned about it," he said of the 68 communities the Alliance represents. Every one of the employers should go to jail and if this puts a little fear in the criminal employers and the illegals that's a very good thing.
