Georgia residents. Call the Governor

@ 11:52 AM (7 days, 21 hours ago)

That's not much to ask. That's not a huge effort and calls matter. The reason the last amnesty died was because their phones and emails lit up. People were screaming and raising total hell.

I've called the Gov's office before on this and I can once more. Plus, besides seeing this state take a stand, I enjoy seeing the pro-illegals wet their pants everytime a new law targeting them is passed.

Alert sent from Dustin Inman Society.

THE CORRECT PHONE NUMBER TO CALL GOVERNOR PERDUE'S OFFICE IS 404 656 1776

PLEASE CALL GOVERNOR PERDUE'S OFFICE AGAIN TODAY to ask him to sign HB 978 and SB 350 into law. Leave a message that you want to save lives on Georgia roads and discourage illegal immigration in Georgia.

Senate Bill 350 authored by Senator John Wiles, R-Marietta, would punish Georgia residents, including illegal aliens, who are driving without ever having obtained a Georgia driver's license. Presently, unlicensed driving usually results in a fine which is regarded as little more than speed-bump for the untrained and unlicensed illegal drivers. SB 350 allows for fingerprinting violators, fines of up to $1000 and jail time for the first offense, with a felony charge if convicted more than three times in five years.SB 350 would be a deterrent to illegal presence here and would save lives on Georgia roads. Maybe it would have saved Cobb County Sheriff's Deputy Loren Lilly, who was killed when he was run off the road by an unlicensed illegal alien driver in December 2006. A nearly identical bill was vetoed by governor Perdue last year.

House Bill 978 allows law enforcement officers to impound the vehicles of drivers found to be driving without being licensed, the huge majority of whom are illegal.Existing federal law allows for the seizure of any vehicle or craft found to be transporting illegal aliens. There goes the ridiculous argument that this is somehow "unconstitutional." It is also closer to how they handle illegal driving in Mexico.

I called, took them a while before they answered but it didn't hurt a bit.
