Trenton. Illegal facing 3 years and deportation for statutory rape
I saw an illegal alien apologist making another of those "So, Americans do bad things, too" arguments. He also made the point about American pedophiles going overseas to seek out young prostitutes. I make no apologies for any of them. If Thailand wants to enact laws to keep out foreign pedophiles I'm just fine with that. The same way I think we need to do everything we can to boot illegals.
Ten percent or more of gate-crashers have criminal records. At least people that come in the right way have some checks on them. No guarantee they won't be terrorists, murderers, rapists, whatever, so I'm of the attitude that those checks should be much more comprehensive. And if that happens there will be more screaming to the heavens about how hard it is to gain entry/resident status into the US. TOUGH. Who said it was supposed to be easy? There are no checks on illegals.
Jail him then mail him. "Return to Sender."
An illegal immigrant from El Salvador pleaded guilty to sexual assault yesterday for having sexual relations with a 12-year-old girl.
Gerson Rivera, 23, of Home Avenue in Trenton, admitted to having sex with the girl. The inci dents occurred in Trenton between July 1 and Aug. 31, 2007, and came to light after her mother discovered some letters. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Rivera will be sentenced to three years in prison Sept. 22.
Rivera will be required to serve about 2 1/2 years. He can have no contact with the victim, must register his address under Megan's Law and undergo psychological testing to determine if he is a repetitive and compulsive sex offender. Under a recent directive from the Attorney General's Office, Rivera is also prohibited from going onto social networking sites on the internet, Scheiner said.
Pereksta told Rivera he will likely be deported after he serves his jail term and that the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a detainer lodged against him.
