Illegal (?) sentenced for kidnapping and impregnating 12 year-old

This doesn't specify he was an illegal, only that he was caught illegally trying to enter the country. But I'd feel pretty safe in making the assumption that he was here ILLEGALLY earlier when he met the girl.

A Salinas man has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison for kidnapping his landlord's 12-year-old daughter, taking her to Mexico and impregnating her, the Monterey County District Attorney's Office reported.

Juan Ramirez Flores, 25, was sentenced Tuesday for lewd acts on a child, inflicting great bodily injury as well as child abduction.

The girl's father reported her missing Sept. 7 and said he believed Flores, who had rented a room from the family for three years, had taken her.
