I know we have crooked cops, crooked politicians, crooked everything but everytime somebody sells out this nation for a few dollars I think they should be charged with treason. This agent is alleged to have sold fake documents to who, illegals? The article doesn't specify that but if they needed fake travel papers then they couldn't get legitimate travel papers, and if they're in this country on a bogus pass then they're illegals.

This is expected. As the noose draws tighter the illegals are scrambling for a means to avoid detection so they can continue with their law-breaking lives. No doubt, this isn't only a problem in Houston. Bogus ID mills are busted all over the country. A couple of the stories mentioned in the article are events that I've blogged about in the past but one needs special mention.

I've seen more studies on the costs of illegal aliens than I want to think about. I have many problems with most studies whether they show a plus or a minus when it comes to illegals. I have no doubt that illegals are a net drain for generations BUT the problem I have with most studies is they only talk about one side of the coin. And even when they study both the costs and benefits there are so many aspects to consider that it begins to blur. Yes, I am concerned about the economic impact but also the societal impact with crowded schools, hospitals, courts, etc..
