An illegal Mexican immigrant will be deported after he serves an 18-year sentence for raping a 12-year-old girl, according to a state prosecutor.
Martin Santos, 26, has been jailed since his arrest in July 2006, when the girl went to a clinic and a blood test revealed she was three months pregnant.
This is a good thing, they also nabbed some illegal aliens alleged to be gang members. Sadly, thye only got about 32 out of 70 that they have warrants for. I can't help but to think the timing has a political side to it, considering the Jamiel Shaw case, but who knows?

Federal immigration agents have detained at least 170 workers at an east Houston plant as they conduct a major raid to investigate allegations that the company is employing illegal immigrants.
The raid, involving 150 to 200 agents, was launched about 7 a.m. at Action Rags U.S.A, 1225 Port Houston, just north of the Houston Ship Channel.
Dozens of family members gathered on the street outside the plant entrance at Port Houston near Tilgham. Many of them rushed to the facility after employees called them on their cell phones during the raid.
Bernardo Olvera came to ask about his sister, Juana Maria Olvera, who he said was working in the plant and is in this country illegally.
"She doesn't have any papers to work there," Olvera said. "I'd like to talk to her to see if she could give me the keys to her husband's car. Yeah, that's right. Screw her, gimme the keys. Humm, maybe ICE needs to pay the husband a little visit.
"This is bad, what they do," he said. "But what can you do? The people here are just working. They're not doing anything wrong. These women are hard workers; they're not criminals." Standard BS excuse.
Another relative of a worker said most of the plant's employees are women.
Get a pair, you candy-ass. Heaven forbid that the police actually enforce the laws, it might upset somebody. We know there were some heated protests for and against at some other location, earlier. I hope Arpaio's people avoid giving the protesters a central point to congregate.

Yes, I'm happy to see any and all illegals and those that scam the system charged but I'm always much happier when it's the big guys. ICE has a thing about not going after the owners except in certain cases. It seems like it's always the low level cheats that pay the price, not that they shouldn't pay but I want to see more plantation owners go to jail.

I visit their site all the time and that's where most of my articles come from. These are the guys in the trenches. These are the guys on the line. These are the people that do aerial surveys showing how the government lies like hell about the amount of fencing installed. These are the folks who set up their own cameras to monitor parts of the border.

The standard response from bleeding-heart pro-illegal liberals goes, " His immigration status didn't make any difference. Citizens get in wrecks all day long." It is true that citizens are involved in accidents all the time. The difference is that this dirtbag wasn't supposed to be here. About the same as having someone vicitmized by a prison escapee. If the prisoner were kept in jail, or the illegal kept out of the country, then there wouldn't be any victims of their acts while they ran loose on our streets. Oh, and as is often the case, he probably has priors.

There's something odd about why the boyfriend didn't call the police at the very start. The only thing that might make sense is if he and possibly the victim were also illegals. I've never seen any stats but I do know that illegals often prey on other illegals.

Anybody that has taken the time to read some of my take on the problem knows that I'm a hard-ass. I'd like to see every illegal in this country tossed or self-deport because their jobs and other incentives were cut off. I know that's not likely.

Something about these stops popped into my little wicked mind and I'm really not sure how it works. Aren't these vehicles subject to confiscation the same way that vehicles hauling drugs are treated? I hope so.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear the pro-illegals whining about traffic stops, "racial profiling" and how the police should be out looking for real criminals, not illegals driving with no license and a busted windshield.

I'm not positive, I'd have to look it up, but I think this is the same group of weasels that released some report saying that "immigrants" didn't commit any more crimes than natives or possibly fewer crimes.

The mindset of some of these gate-crashing criminals is mind numbing the feeling of entitlement and that they really aren't doing anything wrong. This sentiment is commonly expressed by the pro-illegal crowd. "Go after the real criminals."

This is bad but I think I see it. The other bad part is whether or not it may affect Arizona's law. I tend to think it will. I don't think it will do anything about Georgia's law because I think Georgia's law only targets those contractors that do business with the state to "certify" their employees are legal. I'm not sure, it all blurs after a while. I'll leave it to the legal eagles but my understanding is that states can't go past federal laws and that seems to be the rub. Federal law says you can't knowingly hire illegals but it doesn't mandate using the E-verify system, yet. Even South Carolina's new law says driver's license or E-verify. Humm? We'll see.

This is crap. The guy, during the commission of a crime is at the wheel, gets in a crash where 8 of his 14 passengers are killed, and gets off with 4 years. Sickening. Ahh, is 14 people packed in a Suburban considered an overloaded vehicle situation?

Certainly goes to reason that New Jersey would see an increase since their AG had the ovaries to order that jails screen arrestees for their immigration status. But this article mentions arrests in both states.

TOTALLY off my beaten path but I was a fan of the Tonight Show for many years. This is so sad. Even at his elevated age Ed was still active in entertainment and this article mentions he broke his neck a while back. I hadn't heard that before now. Anyway, don't think it's only the po' that lose houses.

I'm laughing my ass off about this. It comes from a pro-illegal group in Georgia but it points out a reality that never even occurred to me. The simple truth is that Georgia has passed more laws targeting illegals and more law enforcement is now trained to screen for illegals. Hence, an illegal that drives without a license is subject to getting caught and then deported. Aww, breaks my itty-bitty heart.

Check out the standard BS responses from Raeford. Heard them all a million times. The simple truth is that there are companies that don't give a damn about anything except maintaining a large pool of cheap slave labor and they'll do anything to achieve that goal. There is no lie, deceit nor deception they will not commit as plantation owners to keep their slaves.

Generally, I don't trust any politicians and maintain a "Seeing is believing" philosophy. And, again, I'll mention the fact that illegal immigration is not such a total party issue. Anyway, let's see some real action, not meaningless dribble and feel-good laws with no teeth or enforcement.

Birthright citizenship was codified in part of the 14th Amendment following the Civil War. It was specifically aimed at making sure there was no question that the children of slaves were US citizens. Sadly, over the past many years, it's been abused by illegal aliens that have no regard for this nation and only want to cheat the system. Other countries have done away with birthright citizenship. I believe Ireland did away with it a few years back.

This is off topic from my usual but it concerns the Atlanta area and other places around the country. For those that don't know, the Atlanta area has been under water restrictions for some long time. I think about 2 years or longer. And because people have heeded the call to conserve water it's resulted in less revenue. So, the powers that be are talking about jacking the rates to offset the loss. Unbelievable.

I'm glad to see it when other ethnicities are mentioned by the media when it comes to illegals. So many people think that only Mexicans and Hispanics comprise our millions of illegal aliens. Not true. Yes, Mexican nationals make up about 55% of illegals and a total of about 82% of our illegals are Hispanic but our illegal aliens come from everywhere.
