Basically, some jails are on the 287 (g) program and handle the whole illegal alien thing. Others are on a program where they call ICE and sometimes ICE picks up illegals, sometimes not. Excellent. I'd like to see every employer pay when one of their illegal hires commits a crime, especially on company time. I'm no lawyer but I don't think this kind of lawsuit is unusual, illegal alien or not. If you have an employee get drunk and plow a company vehicle into somebody you might be facing a big bucks civil trial. I'm a little surprised that the family would file now rather than wait for the criminal charges to be resolved but I guess that really doesn't matter. I picked up some spawn of Lucifer virus that trashed my regular computer a few days ago. I've gone thru hell trying to salvage it. Uninstall virus protection and adware programs, install another program, install Windows updates, hunt down and delete files, run scans, etc.. I had it working ok for about a day or so but the trash is still there. Bogs it down, locks it up, won't let me access or post to some sites including my own blog. It won't even let me do a Google search. I haven't given up, yet. The computer guy I talked to is 20 miles away and said he could get it fixed, for $100. Ehhh.

It's a little hard to grasp on the first reading but then becomes very clear. Cobb county is evading the law by claiming that their business licenses only apply to a small group of businesses, hence, only those applicants need to be screened per Georgia law. In fact, Cobb issues an "Occupational tax certicate" to any others seeking to do business in Cobb county. Humm, is that certificate required? Bet it is, and that means that it should also fall under the intent of Georgia's laws to deny benefits to illegal aliens.

A Mount Pleasant woman who works for the Albemarle Department of Motor Vehicles is charged with attempting to defraud the government by issuing identification cards to illegal immigrants.

Authorities said between January 2007 and June 2008, license examiner Susan Honeycutt, 50, issued about 150 IDs to illegal immigrants using addresses that don’t exist and other fraudulent information.

Two men, Vijendra Gangadeen and Richie Seupersad, are accused of conspiring with Honeycutt. According to the federal affidavit, Gangadeen took illegal immigrants from New York to North Carolina and Seupersad arranged for them to receive licenses. The duo charged each person up to $5,000, with $1,000 being the actual cost of the license, the document states.

I've blogged about some of this earlier. Basically, somehow some agenda-driven group of anti-American scumbuckets were able to slip in an incredible load of caca into the schools in Tucson. I think it snuck in under msot people's radar but finally popped up.

Nothing new about this. Doesn't give much information.  Obviously, you don't haul-ass away from an accident especially if it isn't your fault. , but an illegal might. I remember reading about an incident where an illegal flattened someone and took off. The illegal was not at fault for the accident and, had he stayed, he probably wouldn't have even received a citation.

It doesn't matter who or where, not really. Arpaio being more in the cameras draws more attention but ANYONE that targets illegals catches hell from the lying pieces of pro-illegal puke. I'm sooo tired of their crap. There are plenty of legitimate gripes about Arpaio but the "He's racially profiling" is a load of crap. They use that at every turn, at every mention of legislation, at every possible chance to whine that's the whine.
