Every jail in this nation should be doing the same. Read the article and I'll point out the most obvious reason.
Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies snared three illegal immigrant defendants Tuesday, the first day their new criminal deportation program went into effect.
The effort, known as the 287(g) program, began Tuesday with deportation proceedings against illegal immigrant criminal defendants.
Sheriff’s officers interviewed three individuals and determined they were in the country illegally. The defendants have now been entered into the program’s database and are awaiting deportation.
Nine Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies have completed training in immigration enforcement.
Eduardo Garcia Castillo faced charges of larceny, intoxicated and disruptive, failure to appear in court and public intoxication. A detainer will be issued for Castillo along with a court order to appear before a deportation judge in Atlanta. Castillo has been in the Henderson County jail eight times in the past 16 months, authorities said. Yep, this piece of puke has been in jail 8 times and nobody tossed him. Disgusting. Hopefuly he'll get a trip out never to return.
