I have a very strong feeling that this will go nowhere unless some weak-kneed candy-ass judge imposes some kind of injunction against the department until the case can be heard. If that happens then the pro-illegal dirtbags will claim a victory because, as we know, they oppose every iota of enforcement that involves illegal aliens. Hence, even if they lose the battle they will have won a momentary halt.

My ass. This is kind of a typical human nature thing, people want to blame after a tragic event. I've never heard of emergency responders asking about race, immigration status, etc.. when it came to doing their jobs. Also notice, nothing said if the victims were illegal aliens or not.

It's amazing that illegal aliens think they should be immune from arrest. The other kicker is the continual whine about mothers who have young children getting arrested. Too damned bad. What citizen can claim, "You can't arrest me. I have children at home?"

What many people don't get is that these sweeps are common. Not unusual at all for police to saturate an area whether it's to suppress general crime, speeders, drug dealers, whatever. The only diference in Maricopa is that the department is headed by Sheriff Arpaio and the people that get stopped are also screened t odetermine if they're illegal aliens..
