I have a very strong feeling that this will go nowhere unless some weak-kneed candy-ass judge imposes some kind of injunction against the department until the case can be heard. If that happens then the pro-illegal dirtbags will claim a victory because, as we know, they oppose every iota of enforcement that involves illegal aliens. Hence, even if they lose the battle they will have won a momentary halt.

I have every reason to believe that Sheriff Joe has extensive records to counter this accusation.

Screw you whiners

A group of Hispanic activists in Arizona filed a lawsuit against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Wednesday, alleging the lawman uses racial profiling in controversial sweeps to round up illegal immigrants.

Arpaio began the patrols in mostly Hispanic communities in the Phoenix valley last year. His deputies stop people and arrest anyone who cannot prove legal U.S. residency. Bogus bullshit reporting. It gives the impression that the deputies simply stop anyone they run into and screen them as to their immigration status. That's a lie. I don't even know if the charge of patrols being mostly in Hispanic communities is valid or not.

The lawsuit brought by five individuals and Somos America, a Latino community-based coalition, alleges the people were "unlawfully stopped and mistreated by law enforcement because they are Latino." My ass.
