Excellent.
Go ICE
SANTA ANA, California (AP) — U.S. immigration
authorities said Monday they arrested more than 1,150 people in
California in a three-week sweep, the state's largest of its type since
since 2003.
The sweep targeted immigration violators
including those who have ignored deportation orders or returned to the
U.S. illegally after being deported.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
spokeswoman Virginia Kice said it was the largest such action by
fugitive enforcement teams in California since the squads were formed
in 2003.
Kice said of the 1,157 immigrants arrested
statewide, 595 had outstanding deportation orders and 346 had prior
criminal convictions. Those arrested were from 34 countries, she said.

This isn't much more than specualtion because it's so hard to try and prove a cause and effect relationship. One of the better cases to point at was Prince William, Virginia. As I recall, after passing tougn anti-illegal alien laws the illegals started leaving. Prince William experienced a crime drop and an adjacent sanctuary county saw an almost identical rise.
Boot them
The latest FBI crime reports show an overall decrease in violent
crime around the Phoenix area in 2007 and some observers believe it's
the result of illegal aliens leaving Arizona for other states, like
Texas.
Based on data from 18 jurisdictions in metro Phoenix, violent crimes and property crimes both decreased 0.3 percent.
The
city of Phoenix saw the same decrease in total crimes as the overall
area, with a 0.3 percent decrease in total violent crimes and a 0.3
percent decrease in total property crimes.
Texas had over 1,000
more violent crimes, while violent crimes in Arizona dropped by over
750. Some attribute the drop to Arizona's Employer Sanction's Law. The
bill's author, State Rep. Russell Pearce, said the numbers don't
surprise him.
"It's a direct correlation," said Pearce. "As our
numbers decrease in the area of illegal aliens, you will see the
violent crime rate decrease."

Nothing I've seen really floats my boat. Prison riot in Tijuana, another drunken illegal plows into some innocent people, more ICE arrests of absconders in the Chicago area, and the student tuition thing for illegal aliens in California is still up in air. BUT, as I've forgotten more than a few times: Illegal aliens are not allowed to hold jobs in this country. So why the hell are these ankle-grabbing politicians trying to give them such a huge break on tuitions? If anything, they should be charged the same as foreign students. Even then, foreign students are here LEGALLY.

NAPLES: Officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25 "criminal aliens" and "documented street gang members" after a two-day enforcement operation that targeted those two groups in the Naples area.
On August 28 and 29, teams of ICE agents and deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office arrested the 25 individuals for immigration violations.
Officials with ICE say of the people they arrested, two were identified as documented gang members affiliated with the "La Raza" and "Sur 13" gangs and one was a registered sex offender.
Some of the other criminal histories associated with these individuals include:
- Battery
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Felony drug trafficking
- Burglary
- Felony drug possession
- Carrying a concealed firearm
- Battery on a law enforcement officer
- Domestic violence; and
- Lewd/lascivious battery and battery on a pregnant woman
All of the people that were arrested are currently being held in ICE custody pending their deportation proceedings.
ICE officials added that two of the illegal immigrants that were arrested were holding a firearm and could soon face federal criminal charges.
