This isn't news, it's something that needs to addressed nationally but the candy asses would rather let them go, jump bail, sneak back in, anything rather than put them in prison. I remember posting about some child-raping piece of puke that was booted, that was it. Think it was in Missouri but don't think this is unusual. And the other kicker: Some immigrants, legal or illegal, aren't deportable even after being convicted of serious crimes and serving their prison sentences. WHY? Very simple, they're home countries refuse to let them back in and the USSC ruled we can't hold such people in jail but a couple of months, or such. Hence, convicted child rapists, murderers, etc.. are set free in this country.

Jerks. No bail or way high bail.

Hundreds of
defendants awaiting trial for violent crimes in Dallas County have been
deported by federal immigration officials and then set free in their
home countries.

The practice goes back to at least 1991
and includes the release of murder, kidnapping and child rape suspects.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say they're required
to deport illegal immigrants quickly but are now in talks with local
agencies who are trying to resolve the problem.

Across
Texas and the nation, defendants post bail and are immediately taken to
immigration facilities, where they volunteer to be deported. Just how
often this happens isn't clear.

One survey of prosecutors
shows that since 1991 in Dallas County, nearly 1,000 illegal immigrants
have not stood trial after being accused of felonies. That number also
counts cases in which a wanted person fled before being arrested, but
does not include all Dallas County cases – just ones that prosecutors
judged to be of the highest priority.

Wonder if Dobbs will show up on Fox?

Oh, I try to mention this for the idiots that claim he's racist. A lot of people don't know this, his wife is a Mexican/Hispanic which makes their children bi-ethnic. Maybe the right way to say that is, assuming she's a US citizen now, is to say, "She's an American Hispanic of former Mexican nationality."

So, it would go to reason that if he hates Hispanics, as some claim, that he would marry one and have kids with her. Go Tech.

I can't believe it but Tech keeps winning. Yesterday's game against Wake Forest was an overtime nail-biter. Tech only has 2 things, the triple option and a fair passing game. A few games back their triple option sucked. They couldn't execute. Lots of bad ball handling. Guess they tightened up on that but they still don't look like a top ten team. The stats that the announcer gave surprised me. He said Tech has more time of possession than any other team. Really?

I guess it all doesn't really matter, they keep winning. And the BIGGIE is against Duke this coming week. If they wrap that one up then a play-off is a certainty and then a juicy bowl game, I hope.

Go Ga. Tech. Keep it All the way, turnt up.

I'm not the sports fan I was in my 20s but have followed Tech and the Bulldogs over the past few years. Typically, if I happen to catch anybody else playing, all I'm hoping for is a good game, not a blow-out, and one that is decided in the last couple of minutes. Love those nail biter endings. Also, when I don't have a favorite, I cheer for the underdog.

Mississippi State. Oh, how I was cheering for you guys when you played Number 1 Florida. I think I came in about the 2nd quarter and you stayed within 3 points until the last so many minutes of the game. You guys stand proud. Understand? Yeah, a miracle upset would have made most of the country hoot and holler. Not that they didn't like Florida but when the big dog gets beat by the little dog, well, that's the kind of upset that makes people go, "WHAT? Dayum."

Honestly, I haven't seen where Tech has played really, really well but they keep winning! Including upsetting the Hokies. Hey, Hokies. I like you guys and usually route for you but not against Ga. Tech. Anyway, Ga. Tech is now listed in 11th place in the nation. Huh? Yep, that's right. And could move up a slot or two before they're done. The big game is the potential clencher for division champion in the ACC Coastal Conference. They need to beat Duke.

Anyway, there's a kinda trendy "rap" song that some of the Tech fans and players have latched onto. So, for your entertainment. I'll post another video of the song. The chorus works but I'm not so sure about the rest of it. This is from the upset of Virginia Tech. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEosUaz9UqE]

The AJC happens to own like the largest Hispanic paper in this side of the country and are pro-amnesty as hell. Anyway, not said and is often the case with Mexican drug cartel members, there are often some illegals caught up in the mix. I always try to remember to share this one caveat: It's wrong to assume that Mexican , Canadian, Somalian, whatever, nationals are also illegals. It's simply something that we see on a regular basis. I'm sure that not all of those busted are illegals, and I'm fairly sure some are illegals.

I have mixed feelings about pot. But I've always contended that even if pot was legalized the drug cartels would simply switch to something else. This seems to help validate my claim.

AJC

Authorities said Thursday the house was a meth lab -- one of the

I'm so tired of candy-assed police chiefs, etc.. using that bogus BS vomit about how illegal immigration is a federal matter and they don't want to get involved. Or the crap about how illegals won't report crimes or how we need to build bridges with the "immigrant community" not build walls... Ehhh. Makes me puke.

Thankfully, there are some in law enforcement that have a clue and a spine.

Sheriff Warren

It was with no small degree of interest that I read Atlanta Police
Chief Richard Pennington's comments in the Atlanta newspaper regarding
the implementation of the Immigration & Customs Enforcement 287(g)
program in Cobb County. Of particular note was his concern that Cobb's
participation in the program might harm inroads he was trying to make
into the Latino community in Atlanta and his opinion that this was not
the best use of our law enforcement resources. I respectfully disagree
with him of these assertions.

What he and perhaps many amnesty
advocates fail to recognize is that the 287(g) program in Cobb County
only affects illegal aliens coming into jail custody charged with local
offenses. With or without the program, the Sheriff's Office is required
to identify foreign nationals pursuant to the provisions of the Vienna
Convention. These individuals must be advised of their right to contact
their embassy and in many instances it is incumbent upon the jail staff
to notify the embassy of the incarceration, regardless of what the
arrestee might want.

One of the primary advantages of the
287(g) program is the access it affords to ICE resources which assist
in the accurate identification of the arrestees. This, in turn, not
only helps ensure proper notification but not infrequently results in
the determination that the offender is also wanted for criminal
offenses in other jurisdictions.

Another fact that he may have
overlooked is that oftentimes the illegal immigrants coming into jail
custody are being arrested for preying on the immigrant community.
Taking these offenders out of the community makes it much safer for
everyone.

It is unfortunate that a large number of immigrants
have chosen to place themselves in a compromised position by entering
this country illegally. However, that should never be used as an excuse
or justification by a law enforcement agency for failing to effectively
and fairly enforce our laws.
This is a shameless plug for a local eatery that I use on a regular basis. They're in the Vista Grove shopping center about 4 blocks from LaVista and Clairmont. I know Google has a tendency to add these kind of headings to their Search engine so I'm hoping this appears if anyone's looking for chow. Nothing fancy about this little place. No big, long food bar. Not tons of offerings. Just good, home cooking, which is getting hard to find. The $5 special is a deal. A meat, 2 veggies and a roll or cornbread. Usually, I get 3 at a time.

I've never been thrilled or disappointed with their food, it's simply rock solid consistent. Good chow. Unlike Piccadilly which was an ongoing disappointment and pricier. Ms. Laura usually serves while Ms. Annie is in the back tending the next round. I don't mean to "diss" Al or the other woman that I sometimes see but Laura and Annie are usually there, I see them the most often. In short, "No," it's not going to be the very best mac and cheese you ever had or, maybe, the best chicken you ever had but it's always going to be good. Always.

You like greens, limas, greens beans, squash, yams, mac and cheese, blackeyed peas, etc? You like chicken, meat loaf, country fried steak, pork chops, fish, etc..? The entrees and sides usually change a little, day to day, but not much. And that's just fine with me. Not all entrees fall into the $5 special. Think they charge more for the fish, pork chops, whatever and they don't serve those every day. But I know that every time I go there I can find 3 plates of food with my name on them.

Oh, I usually go afternoons and never find them crowded. Which is, also, a big plus in my book. So, by posting this and hoping to send them more business I'm kind of at odds with myself but I hope they're always there.
Most of the focus, as we know, has been on health-care and the growing deficit. But, trust me, the issue of illegal immigration hasn't gone away. It will return with a vengeance, probably a few months after the health-care thing has settled down. Personally, I think Obama would have to be totally out of his mind to push for another amnesty at this point in time. We'll see.

Turf battles between rival drug cartels, and between authorities and
cartels, have made Juarez one of the world's most dangerous cities.
There were 305 drug-related killings in August, making it the deadliest
month yet, according to the mayor's office.

Most of the recent
violence has been committed by young street-level drug dealers who work
for the Sinaloa or Juarez cartels, Reyes Ferriz said.

Adding deportees from the United States, some with criminal records, worsens the situation, the mayor said.

In the past 45 days, 10 percent of those killed in Juarez had been
deported from the United States in the past two years, Reyes Ferriz
said.

"We don't have the statistics to know if they were
criminals from the United States or not," he told CNN's Rick Sanchez
this week. "We know they were deported from the U.S. Most of them come
from U.S. jails. They end up in the city of Juarez, and that's a
problem generated for us, but also for the United States."

The 2009 death toll in Juarez was 1,421 as of Monday, the mayor's office said, on pace to beat last year's 1,600 killings.

According to a report released last week by a Mexican watchdog group,
Juarez, population 1.5 million, was the homicide capital of the world.
It had an estimated rate of 130 killings per 100,000 people.

By comparison, the homicide rate in New Orleans, Louisiana, by far the
deadliest city in the United States in 2008, was 64 homicides per
100,000 residents, based on preliminary FBI figures.
